Our lovely friend Kristen was lucky enough to listen to Gwen’s new single “Baby Don’t Lie” today and shared a lot of info with us! Here are the highlights:
– Song has a tribal vibe to it, like a lot of songs on the mainstream charts;
– It was written by One Republic’s Ryan Tedder;
– It contains lots of elements from One Republic’s “Love Runs Out” and Adele’s “Rumor Has It” (which was co-written with him) – the driving beat, the short and super catchy, repetitive chorus, with men chanting “oohs” after it;
– Instrumental during verses reminds of Jeremih’s song “Don’t Tell ‘Em”, but with a lighter take;
– Release date is still not confirmed, still coordinating with The Voice and other things;
– New No Doubt album confirmed by the record label;
– New solo album also used to draw the attention back to No Doubt.
We can’t thank you enough for all these info Kristen! You’re absolutely the best! <3
