Gwen was on the cover for Glamour’s December issue and was named one of their Women of the Year, due all the amazing things the accomplished in 2016: #1 album, tour, cartoon and so much more.
Last night Glamour hosted their Women of the Year award in Los Angeles, she was accompanied by her family and boyfriend Blake Shelton. Gwen killed by wearing ombré drapped gown by Marchesa Spring 2017 Ready-to-wear collection and dazzled at the red carpet arrival.
James Corden introduced and presented Gwen with the Icon Award. During the introduction, they showed a video about her life and achievements, with testimonials, by her mother and Pharrell. The video shows some cute pictures of Gwen growing up and features a few seconds of the famous talent show the band (then named Apple Core) performed On My Radio by The Selecters. Gwen had talked about that talent show, saying she wore a Sound of Music outfit. It was very sweet to hear her mom talk about the kind of person her daughter is. Gwen took the stage to accept the awards and kept humble as always and she thanked her parents, her sons, family and Blake Shelton. It was very cute to see her addressing the girls on the event saying she would never imagined she would be there and that it could happen to them as well. So proud of Gwen and she’s such a positive role model for girls.
