Pregnant actress Lene Pedersen dances with Benedicte once a week. She’s married to Gabrial McNair, who plays in the band No Doubt.
Here in Los Angeles, Lene is a theatrical actress and got great reviews for her role in “Winter”, written by the norwegian Jon Fosse. She has also played parts in movies, and currently stars in the thriller “L.A. Ricochet”.
Since they’re expecting their first baby, they have arranged a baby shower.
Lene: It’s very uncommon in Norway. I don’t know much more than that we have gathered our friends to celebrate that we’re having a baby.
One of the couple’s closest friends is No Doubt’s pop queen Gwen Stefani. The rest of the band is there as well: Bass player Tony Kanal and guitarist Tom Dumont.
The couple’s acquaintances consists of people from the music- and moviebusiness. Today, they have gathered around 40 of their closest friends.
Lene: Our friends are a mix of artists and other people with creative jobs. People involved with music, movies, theatre, choreography and direction.
The baby is the main focus, but you cannot have a baby shower in Hollywood without champagne and expensive wines. Gabrial is now preparing a contest for the guests.

In the next game the guests are supposed to guess the size of Lene’s stomach. Gwen Stefani has brought her husband Gavin Rossdale, popstar in the band Bush. Gwen and Gavin’s sons don’t find the party that exciting.
With two pregnanices behind, Gwen guesses the size of Lene’s stomach.
Lene: I have a lot of respect for her. She’s a good mother and a good wife. She’s really good at what she’s doing, both as a lead singer and as a designer. She inspires me.
The hostess of the baby shower is the friend Janne. She is also the director of “Winter”. Now they’re going to bring back the success to a norwegian stage.
Lene: We’re coming to Oslo soon. It’s very fun and it was so succesful here in Los Angeles.
