Tonight’s the night! Just to remind everyone,Gwen and Tony will be on American Idol tonight on FOX at 8 PM EST to mentor the Top 8 contestants for 80s Night. As we had mentioned,Gwen and Tony met with the contestants for five hours last Friday to help them prepare for this week’s show. We know Gwen and Tony must have done an amazing job as mentors(Gwen already has proven herself to be an excellent Idol mentor in the past);congratulations to those lucky Idol contestants on having the chance to meet with them! We will be keeping you updated on the happenings of tonight’s show and will try to have footage from it up as soon as possible.
UPDATE: American Idol tweeted a sneak peek of the songs the Top 8 will be performing tonight-we definitely see Gwen’s influence in the selection of ”Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper. 😉
