gwen-stefani-500x375LOVE all of the praise Gwen is getting over the announcement of her L’Oreal ad campaign-MTV Buzzworthy is the latest media outlet to post their excitment:

Why? Because this Harajuku girl is WORTH it.

L’Oreal Paris just announced that the gorgeous Gwen Stefani will join the ranks of the brand’s beautiful spokespeople, the roster of which includes Jennifer Lopez, Milla Jovovich, Diane Keaton, Beyoncé Knowles, Diane Kruger, Evangeline Lilly, Andie MacDowell, Julianna Margulies, Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto and Kerry Washington.

Over the next few months, the rock star, mom, fashion icon and L.A.M.B. clothing line designer will bring her magic to the makeup and begin appearing in advertising campaigns for Infallible Le Rouge, a new collection of lipstick, and Superior Preference hair color. We feel a hair color deal is long overdue for Gwen Stefani, whose platinum hair with nary a ROOT has inspired nearly as many facsimiles as those of Marilyn Monroe. And it has to be said: Her always flawlessly applied red pout would inspire many a lip color sale. No Doubt!

Go Gwen! She’ll be “looking at her watch” for her L’Oreal Paris ad, which will premiere during the Golden Globes this Sunday. In the paraphrased words of Mrs. Gavin Rossdale, she’s still a super hot female, she’s got a million-dollar contract AND we’re all waiting for her hot track.

EDIT-MORE Press mentions!!

From Yahoo Shine:

In the age where celebrities attach their name and likeness to just about any product for a buck, we’ve gotten tired of seeing famous stars pimp themselves out for nonsensical or lazy collaborations. But today we heard about a new celeb endorsement that rocks.

Gwen Stefani will be the new face of L’Oréal Paris. Her first job? Shilling the brand’s Infallible Le Rouge lip color. We can think of no better spokesperson, since the rocker is known for her prominent red lipstick.

“I love playing dress up, on stage or shooting videos, it’s always been one of my favorite parts of being in a band,” Stefani told People. When asked how she feels to be filling a role once held by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria and Beyoncé Knowles, Stefani said, “To get to work with such a modern, talented group of people is really exciting. I’m a lucky, lucky girl.”

The image above is a sample from the L’Oreal shoot—so pretty! Stefani already has her L.A.M.B. clothing line, Harajuku Lovers fragrances, and other accessories, but a lipstick endorsement really is a great collaboration for her. As a super-busy mom, wife, rock star, and all around entrepreneur, we think Stefani is the perfect lady to put Infallible Le Rouge lip color to the test.
