Gwen Made Fashion Week A Family Affair

gwenkingstonfallIt’s SO precious how Kingston always joins Gwen on the runway during the finale of her runway shows!! 🙂

From PopEater:

The LAMB designer hit the runway with her oldest son Kingston, (Dad is her rocker hubby Gavin Rossdale,) on Thursday during her Fall 2011 show in New York City. The mini fashion icon was all smiles, and looked quite comfortable on the catwalk, walking hand-in-hand with his jill-of-all-trades mom to close out her show.

LAMB was one of the concluding shows ending Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City.

Gwen Stefani showed her fall collection for L.A.M.B. last night, and it was as eclectic and varied as her own style has been over the years. “I always draw from the same inspirations,” she told us backstage before the show. “I’m always going to be a bit of an English girl, a bit of an Orange County girl, a bit of a Jamaican rasta girl in my dreams.” The result: a mix of styles broken into six sections that each felt like their own show: Soldier Girls (military prints); Ragga Muffin Girls (rasta-inspired); London Girls (English prep style); Buffalo Girls (Navajo print knitwear); Mod Girls (’60s-inspired); and Glamour Girls (all-black pieces). For her finale walk, Stefani strutted in her own design to a remix of her song “What You Waiting For” as her son Kingston ran out to join her (her other son Zuma watched from the sidelines). ”Kingston is going to be so excited that I’m a snow leopard tonight because he’s super into animal prints,” she told us. “He’s obsessed!” Click through the gallery to see the entire L.A.M.B. fashion show.

EDIT-Super-cute article from PeopleStyleWatch:
Forget the rehearsals — when fashion is in your blood like Kingston Rossdale, you just hit the runway! “He ran out, she had to catch him,” a source told PEOPLE after the L.A.M.B. fashion show ended with a runway appearance by designer Gwen Stefani with her son Kingston at her side, wearing wee, modified army pants. But it’s no real surprise that the 4-year-old was psyched for the Thursday show (part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week) itself. “They’re good, they’re here, they’re excited,” Stefani said of sons Kingston and Zuma before the show. “They’re pumped up. They’ve been building it up, ‘Fashion show! Fashion Show!’” And is her brood of two boys into fashion? “They are actually,” said the designer. “By force . . . I force them to be dressed up all the time.” As for the show itself, the designer explained “we decided to divide the collection up into categories. A ragamuffin girl, glamour girl, a mod, and soldier girl. And we’re doing like six little miniature fashion shows with different hair and makeup for each.” Her front row fans, including designer Christian Siriano, loved it! “I love Gwen,” gushed Siriano, “She paved the way for a lot of women in the business.” –Jeffrey Slonim
