You came to Brazil a long time ago, what do you remember and know about our country?
I remember the beaches of Rio and the enormity of São Paulo.We also played a great concert with David Bowie,who turns out to be a really nice guy.Of course the people of Brazil were very welcoming and receptive to our music as well.Hopefully we can go back soon!!!
How was for you to work on this new album from No Doubt?
Working on this album was fun because I didn’t know what to expect.For me it’s always a surprise because I typically hear very little of the music before coming into the studio.As usual I was pleasantly surprised to hear the songs,and of course was very excited to be a part of the album.Working with Gabrial is always a treat for me because we play so well together.
Your projects for the future? Something you still want to accomplish?
I have been writing songs for many years,and have finally decided to share them with the world.It has taken me a while to be comfortable as a singer and a songwriter,but I feel now I am confident enough to present myself as an artist.I still have plenty more songs to write,and have limited time now to do so.My goal is to have at least an EP released in 2013!!!
