New FUSE Interview with No Doubt

FUSE has posted another new interview with No Doubt in which the band reflect on their early days in Anaheim. Don’t forget,FUSE is airing a 24-hour No Doubt Takeover starting tomorrow at 6 AM EST!

No Doubt have grown from a no-name outfit from Anaheim, CA, to worldwide ska-punk legends, and it only took six albums, a slew of unforgettable music videos, countless singles and, you know, just a couple global tours to do it. In the video above, Fuse’s Alexa Chung talks with the band—who performed this weekend with Pink!—about their meager beginnings, including rehearsing at the home of bassist Tony Kanal.

“Tony used to live in the heart of Anaheim, in the ghetto right on Harbor Boulevard that just goes right into Disneyland,” said Gwen Stefani (who recently told us about motherhood and her solo album).

“His parents used to own this little shop in front of his house. So when the shop closed down we would rehearse in that front room. It was like during the first year of the band and I just always think back to just how magic [it was]. We were children. His parents would go out to a party and we would just silly string, like dancing, like wild animals in that front room trying to write music and it was so much fun.”

No Doubt will release their highly anticipated new album Push and Shove tomorrow. To celebrate, Fuse is handing our airwaves over to the band for a No Doubt Takeover. So tune in Tuesday for videos, interviews… and nothing but No Doubt .
