Thanks so much to Sophie for sending us the link to the video,in a new interview with BlairingOut.com,The Sounds frontwoman Maja Ivarsson recalls opening for No Doubt on the summer 2009 tour,mentioning at 9:37 how cool and different it was to tour with them. Maja says how she heard No Doubt songs a lot while she was growing up and when The Sounds were asked to open for ND,they knew they couldn’t down such a major opportunity. She goes on to say that ND is the ”most amazing band ever” and how the band members are so sweet and cool. She shared how on the first day of the 2009 tour,they graciously introduced themselves to The Sounds,thoughtfully welcoming them to the tour with a big box of DVDs,an essentiality on any tour bus. She also says how the band and crew took care of them throughout the tour,and how she was frightened at first when Gwen asked her to sing ”Stand and Deliver” with her onstage since she had only a short time to learn the lyrics,but that it was an amazing experience that she will never forget. How sweet!! She also mentions how she she talked to Gwen about how they both do their own makeup before shows.
