No Doubt just tweeted to remind everyone of the fundraiser being held for Gwen’s former backup dancer,Steelo Vasquez,tomorrow night,December 6,at The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. As we had mentioned,Gwen first tweeted last month about the fundraiser,which will raise money for Steelo and his family. Steelo suffered a life-threatening brain aneurysm back in June. He unfortunately suffered four additional ruptures during surgeries and lost his ability to walk and speak and is undergoing an extensive rehabilitation program where doctors are helping him relearn basic functions. No Doubt and Gwen have graciously donated items to the raffle and silent auction that will take place during the event. The fundraiser will also feature performances from some of the biggest names in the dance community including Jabbawockeez (MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew), Twitch (So You Think You Can Dance,) Team iLLuminate (America’s Got Talent) and Beat Freaks (featuring Music from the Harajuku Girls.) Much thanks to Gwen and the guys of No Doubt for continuing to be so charitable and raising awareness of this fundraiser-we send our very best wishes to Steelo and his family and hope and pray that he has a full recovery.
