**UPDATE** Here are more details about the line, which as reported will debut in November but also again in January 2012,and a quote from Gwen from Fashionista:
Gwen Stefani‘s Harajuku Lover’s line is shrinking down for the diaper and preschool set; Stefani is taking her pop-arty ode to Japanese street dressing and making it kid friendly for Target. Called Harajuku Mini for Target, the line will be introduced in November and again in January 2012. While she’s designed children’s clothing and shoes for her contemporary LAMB line, this is a first for the younger Harajuku line.
“Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed.Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices,” Stefani told WWD. The prices will range from $3.99 to $29.99, which is very refreshing, considering all the high-end children’s lines that are launching lately. Stefani’s kids Kingston and Zuma are always at the apex of style, so we expect great things from this line.
This is so exciting-much congratulations again to Gwen and her HL team on launching what is sure to be another hugely successful line!! We can’t wait to see all the kawaii kids’ items!

EDIT-From Pioneer Press:
Target is teaming with singer Gwen Stefani to design an exclusive line of affordable clothing for babies, kids and tween girls.
The collection, called Harajuku Mini, will be available for sale Nov. 13. Stefani already has designed a line of women’s clothing, L.A.M.B.
Target spokesperson Amy Cantu said Monday that Stefani’s Target line “is inspired by a Japanese street style, and there is a pop artist aesthetic as well.”
“I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the super cute and playful kids’ clothing you find in Japan,” Stefani said in a statement released by Target. She said she’s aiming “to design kids’ clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there.”
Stefani joins a stable of celebrities who have formed partnerships with the Minneapolis-based discounter, including snowboarder Shawn White and designer Zac Posen. Stefani’s line of clothing will also include accessories like headbands, backpacks and caps.
“She’s very fashion-forward, and we saw that this would be a great opportunity to partner,” said Cantu.
