Found an interview with former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano(one of the girls Gwen styled for the show) that was conducted shortly after she was voted off the show-it’s sweet how she praises Gwen:

L. Grogan One of the questions that I wanted to ask you is a little bit off the music category. How was it to meet Gwen Stefani and get to kind of peruse all her fashions and pick something out for your performance on Wednesday?
P. Toscano Gwen was amazing. She was so down to earth. Like when you meet celebrities, you expect to be a little intimidated, and she was just the sweetest thing. She was absolutely gorgeous in person, and she said, “I want you to go out there and feel comfortable.” So she was definitely just a breath of fresh air. She was the sweetest thing in the world. It’s like you don’t meet people like her every day, and I was trying not to get like star struck, because she’s always, she was someone that I’ve looked up to since I was younger
