UK-based dollmaker Moniji has posted a video on their blog about their recent visit to LA,the pinnacle of which was being involved with Gwen’s Harajuku tea party at Royal/T Cafe earlier this month.As most fans know,Gwen invited Momiji to be a part of her tea party-guests at the party were given Momiji dolls to decorate and insert messages into;the dolls were then sent to children in Japan who were victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami.You can view the video HERE-footage from the tea party starts at 1:34.
There were many highlights; visiting the lovely Sanrio team to finalise bringing Momiji x Hello Kitty to the USA, as well as walks along the ocean, lazy breakfasts in Manhattan Beach and a spot of shopping, of course. But it kind of goes without saying that the pinnacle of the trip was being involved in Gwen Stefani’s party to raise funds for Save the Children’s Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund and watching everyone get creative as they painted their Momiji dolls.
