Gwen will be immortalized in wax! The artists at Madame Tussauds, the famous tourist attraction displaying waxworks of celebrities and historical figures, have been crafting Gwen’s statue for almost a year now. She visited the sculpting team in London last year and sat for several hours as they
took hundreds of measurements, matched skin tone, hair color and decided what pose worked best.
Gwen said, “It’s going to be pretty amazing to be inducted into Madame Tussauds. I saw some photos while they were working on the statue and was blown away. I can’t wait to see the real thing!”
This Wednesday, September 22, Gwen will travel to Las Vegas to unveil her wax figure at Madame Tussauds in the Venetian Hotel. The figure will then remain at the attraction permanently alongside those of Madonna, Elvis, Snoop Dogg, Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.
