In a new interview with Always Thinkin’,Claire Rowland, the founder of Japanese dollmaking company Momiji, says that being a part of Gwen’s Harajuku-themed tea party at Royal/T Cafe back in June was one of the best moments in the company’s history. As fans recall,Gwen invited Momiji to be a part of her tea party to benefit Japan relief efforts-the guests at the tea party decorated Chiyo dolls made by Momiji that were later sent to victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. It’s wonderful how special the event was to Momiji-and to everyone involved.

What’s been the best moment in momiji history?

This year we where very honoured when Gwen Stefani invited us over to LA to be part of a party she hosted to raise funds for families and children affected by the Tsunami in Japan. A Momiji painting and customisation workshop formed part of the event so it was really special for us.
