Flanked by stylish Harajuku Girls and wearing tiny sequin hot pants the yummy mummy made a spectacular entrance in a glitzy golden prison cell, breaking free to the whooping sounds of her No 2 hit The Sweet Escape.

Charming the crowd was high on her list of priorities. “It’s just f***ing unbelievable to be here in front of you guys, you have given me this wonderful life,” she yelled. “I’m sorry for my potty mouth but you just inspire me so much.”

She switched seamlessly between high-energy dance nuggets like Wind It Up and slower, more emotional rock ballads such as Early Winter, her smooth Keane collaboration.

This feisty female is one of the hottest solo artists in the world but tellingly she did promise fans that her next project would be with her old No Doubt bandmates.
